You winding labyrinth, you’re a fireplace; you unabridged art, & you’re fight with a face

I’d like to spend a little time, just resting in your tangled mind

Tuck me in, if you dare, and sing your lullaby to get me there

But is it wrong that when I wake, I want a souvenir to take?

Nothing drastic that you’ll miss, besides my dancing in your presence

But just one shot snapped of my time, well spent resting in your mind

Though I’ve left, it’ll sit in a frame, to remind me of your name.”

Everyday, I write something or another, and usually just keep it tucked in the pages of a journal. Tonight was no exception until I was feeling inspired & wanted to share. I think life’s too short and words too magical to stifle the things we want to say. I know I’ve put a few snippets on Twitter in the last year, and I’ve gotten requests to post more; would you guys want to see a couple more of these ramblings as they come?
