remember last fall, 8 months ago? remember my “Some” blog, where I posted “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Gotye feat. Kimbra on the playlist? remember me tweeting it a couple days later?
then remember last month when it was covered on Glee, done on the Voice, performed on SNL, & topped the single charts worldwide, & everyone started to love it?

okay, now, up on those same charts is a band called Fun. remember how in every interview for the last few years, I’ve been all, my favourite record is called Aim & Ignite by fun.. and everyone else is all, I’ve never heard of them. are they on the radio? listen to good music. blahblahblah. and then my super awesome music daredevil fans who trust my taste were like, I’ll check them out.
but then, remember when they released a new single with Janelle Monae and people heard of them suddenly? again with the Glee, album release, [on top of the Hollywood Tower! I was one of 100 people to see them perform, power outage & all. life enriched to the fullest sonic degree.], and everyone’s all, hey, have you heard fun? I like their one song so they’re my favourite band. whatever, doesn’t mean you’re not a fan. okay,
now.
Fun’s signed to a record label [my favourite!] called Fueled By Ramen. they also have one of my other top favourite bands The Hush Sound, my buddies A Rocket The Moon, as well as Gym Class Heroes, Panic! at the Disco, and a little band called Paramore. Paramore includes a girl named Hayley Williams.

SO, Hayley Williams, and the band Fun. [labelmates!] came together recently at a radio station. They covered a song that’s also on the radio, Somebody That I Used To Know.

it’s unreal.
that’s all I’m really trying to stay.

what are you waiting for? GO THERE. mannnn, I know it’s bizarre, eclectic, and inevitable shady for a lot of you, but geee wizzz. you’d think you’d trust my taste in music by now.
